Greetings;

We are Gary and Carol Carpenter, the Chapter Directors at the Rising Park Wings. In May of 1997 we were told that Lancaster, Ohio had a local chapter of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, with a designation of Chapter OHF-3. We decided to visit, and as they say, the rest is history. As our two daughters grew into that independent stage of life, we suddenly found ourselves with a lot of free time. Little did we know that purchasing a Gold Wing would be such a life changing experience. We have previously served as Chapter Educators, Assistant Chapter Directors, and Chapter Directors. In June of 2008 we were once again asked to serve as Chapter Directors, and given the personality of the folks that we know make up the membership of this chapter, we decided to come on board once again.

Over the years we have developed fantastic friendships, shared in absolutely beautiful rides, and had more fun than one can imagine. In 2010 we decided to part with an old friend, we sold our beloved GL1500 and stepped up to the world of the GL1800.  We found a new 2008 Wing with all the bells and whistles, the color was right, the price was right; well you know where it goes from there.

Our chapter is fortunate in the fact that we are located in Southeastern Ohio, which has some of the most beautiful scenery that we have ever experienced. The fantastic roads in this area of Ohio, while fun to say the least, do not limit the adventurous spirit of the folks at Chapter F-3. It doesn’t take too much prodding to get a group together for a ride to a bordering state for dinner, or a ride to see if we can find an ice cream store that we didn’t already know about, or to put together a brown bag lunch and just go looking for an out-of-the-way picnic table, or maybe to the mountains and valleys of West Virginia just to look at the leaves. I think you probably get the picture.

Our members have, at one time or another, ridden in every state. So no matter what your taste is in riding, we have someone in our group that would love to share a ride with you. Our chapter motto is Family, Friends, and Fun. Stop by for a visit and see if you don’t agree, we enjoy our motorcycles and one another’s company. You’re always welcome!
